karma - A pop-up youth space

Restrictions, prohibitions, and disapproval. That’s the reality for many young people in public spaces.
Strict controls and regulations lead to conflicts between the city, residents, and the youth.
We want to highlight the positive usage of public spaces. As a result we achieve a mindset that influences mutual respect and acceptance trough trust, openness, and good vibes.
Within our campaign, we cooperate with the youth council and the city. For a certain timespan, a pop-up youth-space enables young people to use the spaces in the city individually and freely.
The campaign works with a distinctive wording, which is a reinterpretation of common german sayings. We turn phrases like „trust is good, supervision is better“ around to „supervision is good, trust is better“ and give them a positive meaning. In the city the colored 3D-elements of the campaign- posters are separated. In the pop-up space, they come together - just like the community.
Along the way we implement the karma-app, so everyone can track their activities, ideas and memories at those spaces and make them visible to the public eye. With a voting system, we ensure that everyone gets a voice.
After the defined period, a karma score is generated and can be sent to the city.
For good karma in the future!
